Job Information

Job Description

• Implements revenue management operations, procedures, and best practices.
• Challenges and influences hotel to improve service level and operational standards.
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships with levels of staff at the resort/hotel.
• Travels regularly to each resort/hotel.
• Analyzes short- and long-term forecasting.
• Analyzes trends in group inventories & rate to include occupancy, goals, product line, and strategic sales goals.
• Analyzes and monitors marketing channels, key and other account production.
• Ensures that all major channels of distribution – Website, OTAs, Wholesale – effectively support the hotel and maintain rate parity.
• Updates all channels of distribution as needed with rate or inventory restrictions.
• Receives all definite and tentative group bookings and provide the Sales and Reservations Manager with qualified analysis of how each booking will impact occupancy, average rate, and rooms profit over the dates in question.
• Explores and provides variations in the market mix which would stimulate additional revenue without increasing costs.
• Monitors and analyzes the competition weekly through competitive shops, internet, news reports to identify selling strategies and emerging trends.
• Conducts a weekly Revenue Management Meeting where the current 120-day booking period is evaluated for proper rate and availability control.
• Responsible for the maintenance of any software programs which contribute to the management of revenue.
• Oversees and evaluates the effectiveness of any internal incentive programs for either Front Office, Reservations, Sales, or Convention Services. Then provide the Sales and Reservations Manager with clear payback analysis.
