Job Description
Qualifications: Experienced Buyer, preferably with background in MRO or aviation industry
Education: Graduate of any 4-year course, or related area preferred. May substitute comparable experience for education.
Relevant experience: 1-3 years experience in procurement, supply chain, or closely related field.
Skills/Competencies:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop supplier relationships
- Working knowledge in Quantum system or comparable ERP system
- With negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and achievement oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications
Responsibilities:
- Review purchase requests for completeness
- Monitor requisitions and recommend cost-saving strategies
- Obtain quotations from suppliers
- Review bids, negotiate terms, and prepare reports
- Minimize PO discrepancies and resolve issues with finance and warehouse
- Identify and recommend new suppliers
- Submit solutions for supplier and internal process issues
- Comply with procurement policies and update reports
