Job Description
With experience as Purchaser / Buyer / Procurement in Food Manufacturing Industries preferred but not required.
Essential Function
- Research potential vendors for needed requested item.
- Conduct market price analysis, comparing prices versus local and international trends.
- Canvass, compare, and evaluate offers from different suppliers.
- Ensure minimum inventory level of supplies with zero incorrect purchase and delivery.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) by verifying specifications and price.
- Expedite delivery of supplies, ensuring the delivery schedule is met.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to ordered; Immediately resolves shipment errors with suppliers.
- Keep updated Master List of Material Price List and Suppliers List.
