Job Description
A Quality Analyst (Medical Billing) plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the medical billing process. They are responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records, claims, and coding to identify any discrepancies or errors that may impact billing accuracy.
The primary tasks of a Quality Analyst (Medical Billing) include conducting audits, performing data analysis, and generating reports to support process improvement efforts. They collaborate closely with the billing team to provide feedback and training on coding guidelines, compliance, and billing regulations.
Key qualifications for this role include a strong understanding of medical coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, along with knowledge of reimbursement methodologies and healthcare billing processes.
