Job Description
A Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs relating to building and construction projects. They play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are financially successful and delivered within budget. The main duties of a Quantity Surveyor include:
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and reports for construction projects.
- Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Performing cost analysis and value engineering.
- Managing contracts and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Preparing and submitting progress claims and variations.
- Reviewing and evaluating tenders and proposals.
If you have the following qualifications and skills, we want to hear from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, costs, and regulations.
- Proficient in using Quantity Surveying software and tools.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
