Job Description
A Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients using x-rays and other imaging modalities. They operate medical imaging equipment, adjust imaging parameters, and position patients to obtain high-quality images. The technologist also ensures patient safety by following radiation safety protocols and maintaining accurate patient records.
The Radiologic Technologist I works closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to assess patients’ medical conditions and determine the most appropriate imaging techniques. They communicate with patients to address their concerns, provide instructions for the procedure, and ensure their comfort throughout the examination.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Valid state license as a Radiologic Technologist
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiation physics
- Experience operating medical imaging equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
