Job Description
A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) is a crucial member of a sleep disorders diagnostic team. They are responsible for conducting various sleep studies to monitor and record patients’ sleep patterns and vital signs. Key responsibilities include setting up and calibrating equipment, explaining procedures to patients, monitoring patients during sleep studies, and analyzing data to determine sleep disorders such as sleep apnea or insomnia.
- Qualifications:
- – Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
- – Proficiency in operating sleep study equipment
- – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- – Excellent communication and patient care abilities
This role requires attention to detail, empathy towards patients, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
