Job Description
A Security Assessment Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the security of an organization’s systems and networks. The main objective of this position is to identify and assess potential vulnerabilities and risks, in order to develop effective security controls and strategies.
The job duties of a Security Assessment Analyst include conducting security assessments and audits, performing penetration testing, analyzing security logs and alerts, and reviewing technical documentation. They collaborate with other IT teams to identify and address security issues, and provide recommendations for security enhancements.
Key skills for this role include knowledge of security assessment methodologies, advanced understanding of networks and systems, proficiency in security tools and technologies, and ability to research and stay up-to-date with latest security threats and trends.
