Job Description
The Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective security measures and controls in an organization. They play a key role in managing and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and establishing a strong security posture.
As a GRC Specialist, your primary responsibilities include:
- Identifying and assessing security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conducting security audits and risk assessments.
- Monitoring and analyzing security incidents and threats.
- Providing guidance and recommendations on security best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address security gaps and implement remediation plans.
- Regularly reporting on the security posture and performance to management.
To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of security frameworks, risk management methodologies, and compliance requirements. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential to effectively communicate risks and propose appropriate security measures.
