Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain on-premises servers (e.g., Windows, Server, Linux)
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and security settings for servers
- Perform routine server maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and updates
- Migrate and manage server workloads on cloud platforms (AWS or Alibaba Cloud)
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans for servers
- Automate server tasks through scripting when possible
- Document server configurations and procedures
- Work with other IT team members to ensure smooth operation of all systems
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Server Administrator
- Proven experience in configuring and managing local servers (Windows Server or Linux)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Alibaba Cloud (preferred)
- Strong understanding of server security best practices
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) (a plus)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
