Job Description
A service advisor is a crucial role in the automotive industry, responsible for providing excellent customer service to vehicle owners. The primary role of a service advisor is to act as a liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring that their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
Job responsibilities include:
- Assessing customer needs and recommending appropriate services
- Providing cost estimates and obtaining customer approvals
- Coordinating with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Explaining repair procedures and ensuring customer understanding
- Maintaining accurate records of customer transactions
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving complaints
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as advanced knowledge of automotive systems and repairs. Previous experience in a service advisory role or a similar customer-facing position is preferred.
