Job Description
A Service Desk Analyst is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to users in a professional and efficient manner. They are the first contact point for users experiencing IT-related issues and are responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems related to hardware, software, network, and other technology-related incidents.
The main responsibilities of a Service Desk Analyst include:
- Responding to user inquiries and help desk tickets promptly and professionally.
- Gathering detailed information from users to understand and identify the root cause of the issues.
- Troubleshooting technical problems and providing step-by-step guidance for issue resolution.
- Escalating complex issues to appropriate teams or specialists for further investigation.
- Recording incidents and service requests accurately in the ticketing system.
- Updating knowledge base articles to enhance self-service capabilities for users.
- Ensuring all incidents are resolved within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Key requirements for the position:
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Good understanding of ITIL framework and incident management processes.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
