Location: Makati (Onsite: 10 hours per week)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Performance Tuner to join our team on a freelancing basis. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about optimizing SQL queries for enhanced database performance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development and database teams to understand the application’s SQL query requirements.
- Analyze and assess SQL queries and database performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database performance.
- Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Work closely with developers to review and optimize SQL code during the development process.
- Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving performance-related issues in production environments.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in SQL performance tuning.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an SQL Performance Tuner or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS), such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of database indexing, query execution plans, and performance monitoring tools.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
