Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable with Australian accounting experience. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for handling the accounts payable process and ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Matching purchase orders with invoices
- Coding and entering invoices into the accounting system
- Preparing payment vouchers and processing payments
- Reconciling accounts payable transactions
- Resolving any payment discrepancies or issues
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably with Australian accounting knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
