Job Description
Stock clerks assist with the delivery, packing, and moving of merchandise for retail stores. They perform a variety of duties, such as receiving, storing, and transferring stock. They also ensure that products are properly labeled, checked for damage, displayed, and accounted for in inventories.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain the storage conditions of products received in the warehouse.
- Assist in checking the correctness and condition of deliveries.
- Accept incoming products and verify that they are stored in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure that all products are correctly stored to maintain orderliness.
- Assist with stock-taking activities.
- Arrange items for storage and retail display.
- Maintain inventory levels and stock shelves to prevent product shortages.
- Label items for pricing, storage, and transfer.
- Report inventory levels to supervisors and managers.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the storeroom and enhance its appearance using appropriate display techniques.
