ROLE PURPOSE:
Our Store Cashier is primarily responsible for processing cash and/or charge transactions and safekeeping of customer payments in accordance with the set policies and procedures on Cashiering. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate records of all sales transactions to prevent possible losses and fraud.
This role focuses on:
- Processing cashiering transactions in compliance with Retail Operating Standards.
- Increasing basket size by utilizing appropriate selling techniques and promoting store assisted digitally enabled services to customers.
- Ensuring compliance with Brand of Service Standards and proper merchandise display.
- Implementing cost management control measures.
Success will depend on:
- Knowledge and ability to consistently implement service delivery standards and applicable processes.
- Ability to implement in-store and digital sales initiatives.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures to impact efficiency and profitability.
- Understanding and compliance with basic policy on ASW Data Security and Privacy, and being accountable for any non-compliance.
- Ability to implement and complete learning and developmental plans and programs.
