Job Description
A Store Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized inventory levels within a retail store. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers.
The primary tasks of a Store Inventory Associate include:
- Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring stock availability
- Performing regular inventory counts and reconciling any discrepancies
- Updating inventory records using computerized systems
- Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments
- Tagging and labeling products
- Processing customer returns and exchanges
- Assisting customers with product inquiries and locating items
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and sales floor
To be successful in this role, candidates should have a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items may also be required.
