Job Description

The Sushi Cook position requires skillful and efficient preparation of maki/sashimi and other Japanese dishes.
TASKS INCLUDE:
- Manage production and breakdown of seafood for the sushi station
- Handle and cut raw fish with precision to ensure freshness and quality
- Prepare and manage sushi rice for proper seasoning and consistency
- Create maki/sashimi during operations
- Conduct daily inventory count of station materials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi bar and kitchen
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of culinary course or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in a sushi or Japanese restaurant
- Ability to handle and prepare raw fish safely and skillfully
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in sushi rice preparation
