Job Description
A Tax Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s tax compliance and reporting obligations. They analyze financial statements to ensure accurate and timely tax filings, minimize tax liabilities, and identify tax planning opportunities to optimize the company’s financial performance. Additionally, a Tax Accountant assists in preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research and analysis, and providing guidance on tax-related matters to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Analyzing financial statements to identify tax planning opportunities and optimize tax efficiency
- Conducting tax research to stay updated on new laws and regulations
- Assisting in audits and resolving any tax-related issues
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on tax implications for new projects or transactions
