Job Title: Defect Manager
Job Summary: The Defect Manager oversees the identification, tracking, and resolution of defects within software development projects. They work closely with project managers, developers, quality assurance teams, and stakeholders to ensure that defects are promptly addressed and resolved to maintain product quality and meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Defect Identification:
- Collaborate with QA teams to identify defects through testing processes.
- Review bug reports and user feedback to identify issues.
Defect Tracking and Management:
- Utilize defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) to log, categorize, and prioritize defects.
- Assign defects to appropriate team members for resolution.
- Monitor defect resolution progress and escalate as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Root Cause Analysis:
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons for defects.
- Work with development and QA teams to address root causes and prevent recurrence of defects.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of defects, including descriptions, severity, status, and resolution details.
- Generate reports on defect trends, metrics, and resolution timelines for stakeholders.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including developers, QA teams, project managers, and clients, regarding defect status and resolution.
- Coordinate defect triage meetings to prioritize and assign defects for resolution.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate defect management processes and tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement improvements to streamline defect identification, tracking, and resolution processes.
At least 3 – 5 years of defect Management and Test Management experience
At least 3 years SAP experience (kahit anong module)
Any testing tool will do
At least 2 years lead experience
