About the Company
Hailing from the prominent Filpride Group, Malayan Maritime Services, Inc. (MMSI) was established to handle the growing demand for tugboat services to ensure the safe towing and berthing/unberthing of larger ships. MMSI now caters to a wide variety of commercial ships in various ports.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure and monitor all tugs for company compliance and navigation.
- Communicate with other ship operators about navigating safety rules and regulations.
- Monitor weather conditions for vessel and crew safety.
- Use tide, current, and wind patterns to guide the tugboat.
- Inspect onboard safety standards and enforce regulations.
- Responsible for all vessel operations.
Qualifications
- Experience as a mate on a tugboat.
- Proficient in survival craft and rescue boats.
- Major Patron Licensed.
- Experience with Z-Peller and Duck-Peller tugboats.
Skills Required:

- Detail-oriented.
