Job Description
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Hailing from the prominent Filpride Group, Malayan Maritime Services, Inc. (MMSI) was established to handle the growing demand for tugboat services to ensure the safe towing and berthing/unberthing of larger ships. Initially partnering with its sister company, Insular Oil Corporation Terminal located in Sasa, Davao, it has since grown to service more customers from different industries, both local and foreign alike. MMSI now caters to a wide variety of commercial ships, docking and undocking in the many ports in the Davao Region such as Sasa, Kudos, Panabo, Malalag, reaching CDO, Cebu and Batangas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure and monitor all tugs for company compliance and navigation.
· Communicate with other ship operators about navigating safety rules and regulations.
· Weather conditions are monitored to safeguard the vessel and crew’s safety.
· Using tide, current, and wind patterns to guide the tugboat through challenging waters or limited passageways.
· Inspecting onboard safety standards by enforcing regulations governing safety equipment, fire drills, and other procedures.
· Responsible for all vessel operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience working in a tugboat as a mate.
· Proficient in survival craft and rescue boats.
· Willing to be assigned to any location as required.
· Major Patron Licensed
· Experience as TM/CM on Z-Peller and Duck-Peller tugboats in harbor assisting and towages.
· Willing to be deployed in any location
· The candidate must have the following qualities:

- Leadership skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php34,00.00 per month
