Job Description
An Underwriting Assistant plays a vital role in the insurance industry by supporting underwriters in evaluating and approving insurance policies. They assist with the assessment of risk, analyzing client applications, and ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and company guidelines.
As an Underwriting Assistant, your responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining underwriting files, verifying policy details, preparing policy documents, and handling customer inquiries. You will collaborate closely with underwriters, brokers, and other internal departments to ensure efficient workflow and superior customer service.
To excel in this role, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in using underwriting software are crucial. Additionally, good communication and problem-solving abilities are essential to effectively address customer queries and resolve any issues that may arise.
