Job Description
As a US General Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to manage financial records, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial information to support informed decision-making within the organization.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Recognize and perform general bookkeeping procedures using QuickBooks, create journal entries, have strong knowledge of year-end procedures and trail balance.
- Prepare balance sheets and income statements.
- File quarterly sales and use tax returns and process monthly sales tax payments for various clients.
- Process payroll for clients, file payroll reports with federal and state jurisdictions.
- Work on the reconciliation of bank statements and merchant account statements.
- Develop relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.
