Job Description
A Utilization Review/Management Nurse is responsible for evaluating the medical necessity, efficiency, and appropriateness of healthcare services for patients. They collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure that patients receive the most effective and cost-efficient care. This includes reviewing medical records, analyzing treatment plans, and making recommendations to streamline healthcare delivery.
As a Utilization Review/Management Nurse, you will play a vital role in optimizing patient outcomes and resource utilization. You will assess the medical necessity of procedures, identify potential risks, and recommend alternative treatments when appropriate.
