Job Description
- Plans, monitors, installs, and adjusts the full range of cooling and refrigeration equipment by means of an energy management system hands-on work.
- Performs general maintenance and preventative maintenance on vessel air-conditioning and refrigeration.
- Installs new equipment related to refrigeration and air conditioning on vessels.
- Ensures that the standards of service excellence and satisfaction are met and maintained.
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting, resolving problems within agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrates knowledge of both split system air conditioners, window-type air conditioners, and vessel air-conditioning systems.
- Maintains equipment to required standards and specifications.
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports on progress, trends, and issues, recommending solutions and improvements.
- Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.
- Ensures compliance with applicable Safety Standards and procedures.
- Initiates ideas and/or modifications to improve equipment reliability and/or safety.
- Replaces motors, compressors, and all kinds of air-conditioning parts using tools.
- Performs any duties as assigned.
