Job Description
We’re seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team, providing support to veterinarians and ensuring excellent care for animals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in restraining and handling animals during examinations and procedures.
- Monitor vital signs, record information, and administer medications under veterinarian guidance.
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for procedures.
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Greet clients, schedule appointments, and provide basic information on pet care.
- Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and billing.
- Maintain organized patient records and manage inventory.
- Perform general clerical tasks, such as filing and answering phones.
- Keep the clinic clean and sanitized.
- Dispose of medical waste following protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
