Job Description
A video editor is responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the creative vision of the project. They work closely with producers and directors to understand the desired outcome and effectively refine the raw footage.
Key responsibilities:
- Edit and arrange video footage according to the given script or storyboard
- Trim and modify segments, add transitions, effects, and sound to enhance the overall production value
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure the project meets the desired objectives and visual standards
- Review and revise edited videos based on feedback from stakeholders
- Manage and organize video files, ensuring efficient file naming and storage
Requirements:
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Strong understanding of video composition, storytelling, and visual aesthetics
- Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and collaboration skills
