Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This function is responsible for the proper programming and maintenance of carrier tape vision inspection equipment and winding system used in the production of embossed carrier tapes. Attends to their diagnosis and repair should there be any problem that may arise while they are being used in production.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a sufficient hardware inventory to support parts replacement when needed.
- Tests and trials new program enhancements. Makes minor changes as needed.
- Utilizes 8D problem-solving method to achieve the resolution of assigned customer incidents.
- Creates and maintains Vision team procedures and work instructions.
- Authority to stop production run in cases wherein excessive rejections or product visual defects are detected by the inline vision systems.
- Authority to pull inline vision systems and its accessories and winding equipment from the Production line during scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Authority to issue ICAR in cases wherein a non-conformity to established procedures, work instructions, 8D committed actions and other related procedures, under the Quality Management System, is observed during normal production run and process audits.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Manual dexterity with the ability to use hand and power tools.
- Personal computer hardware and network technical knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, VPM, NT Network Operating systems.
