Job Description

• Prepare assignments, lesson plans, lecture materials, and actively participate in curriculum development.
• Participate in staff development activities, attend meetings to discuss progress, set assessments, mark and assess students’ work/assignments.
• Candidates should be able to type/write the curriculum according to British/American Standards.
• Candidates need to demonstrate a willingness to upgrade themselves to fit our teaching methodology.
• The teacher’s responsibilities include planning, delivering and assessing students’ work, ensuring departmental objectives and learning outcomes are met, and content is relevant and reflects current practice.
• Use various learning and teaching methods/materials (e.g. web-based and blended learning) to enhance the student experience.
• Attend faculty, department, and program meetings/boards as required to contribute to the decision-making process and develop productive working relationships within and across teams.
• Contribute to the day-to-day organization, running, and administration of the school, ensuring schemes of work and lesson plans files are up to date.
• Supervise student work and provide support and feedback.
• Challenge ideas, encourage students to develop skills in critical and rational thinking.
• Candidates must be comfortable with information technology and be ready to learn to use new applications and hardware.
