Job Description

As an Audit Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the audit team in conducting financial and operational audits of the organization’s processes and controls. This internship position is designed to provide practical experience and training in the field of auditing, with the opportunity for career advancement upon successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing financial and operational audits in accordance with established audit programs and procedures.
• Conduct tests of internal controls to assess their effectiveness and identify areas of improvement.
• Review financial statements, accounting records, and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform data analysis and verification to identify potential risks and irregularities.
• Document audit findings and recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure audit recommendations are implemented effectively.
• Participate in meetings and discussions with audit team members and clients to gather information and understand business processes.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to auditing and accounting.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
• Complete assigned tasks within specified timelines and deliver high-quality work.

Qualifications:

• Fresh Graduate in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of auditing principles, standards, and techniques.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
• Proficient in using MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Integrity and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
• Prior experience or coursework related to auditing is preferred but not mandatory.
