Job Description
A reputable company, Al Falah Chemicals, is currently seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Import Officer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements through a good understanding of them.
- Having knowledge about tender working.
- Managing the import process, including documentation, Letter of Credits (LCs), and bank contracts.
- Endorsing original LCs and maintaining accurate records of them.
- Keeping detailed records of import activities, such as shipment details, customs documentation, and compliance records.
- Handling import documentation, including customs clearance, permits, and licenses, while ensuring compliance with import regulations.
- Collaborating closely with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate the clearance of imported goods.
- Preparing recovery reports and discussing them with management.
- Managing outstanding payments of dealers in accordance with company policy.
- Regularly following up with dealers and customers.
- Performing other related tasks as assigned.
