Scope of Position

The scope of the General Physician – Locum includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Provide health-care services at clinic location.
• Assist with the health-care care activities of the patient.
• Maintain patients care records and document provided services.
• Solve patient problems in a way that complements the vision of the organization.
• Communicate with clinical staff, fellow team members, and managers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose common ailments such as colds, flu, and diabetes.
• Administer medication topically, orally, and via intravenous or intramuscular injections.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and lifestyle alterations.
• Inspect and update patients’ charts.
• Refer patients to specialists for further testing and treatment, if required.
• Refer patient’s Labs to the partner Lab service via provided medium.
• Anticipate and respond to patients’ wellness-related questions and concerns.
• Create and issue invoices and maintain all relevant patient data in the system.
• Reconcile fee collection by the end of every month with the accounts department.
• Manage the inventories of the Clinic’s basic supplies, provide feedback for the maintenance of the clinic equipment and furniture.
• Ensure the implementation of all applicable indicators mentioned in PHC guidelines for GP clinics from MSDS.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) with two or more years of clinical experience.
• Registration with the governing health professions board.
• Adherence to health and ethical codes, including when under duress.
• Personable, supportive disposition.
• Excellent administrative skills.
