Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Senior House Officer (SHO) position located in Karachi at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The SHO will be responsible for day-to-day patient care, clinical care, and surgery. They will collaborate with attending physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals to provide quality care to patients. The SHO will be responsible for attending rounds, consults, and conferences and will be responsible for on-call duties as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Medicine: The candidate should have demonstrated knowledge in clinical medicine, diagnostic procedures and tests, pharmacology, and patient care.
- Communication: The candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, and be able to comprehend and follow instructions quickly and accurately.
- Clinical Care: The candidate should have clinical skills and knowledge that are necessary to provide compassionate and effective care for patients. The candidate should have the ability to perform procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, and the ability to interpret diagnostic tests.
- Patient Care: The candidate should be able to provide compassionate and patient-centered care, have a demonstrated ability to interact with patients from diverse backgrounds, and prioritize patient safety and satisfaction.
- Surgery: The candidate should have a demonstrated understanding of surgical care and be able to perform surgical and invasive procedures under the supervision of attending physicians.
- MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
- Strong academic track record during medical school and internship
