Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a back-end developer located at NASTP, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The back-end developer will be responsible for maintaining and developing web frameworks and APIs, maintaining version control systems, and troubleshooting existing web applications. The back-end developer will work on a variety of projects to increase the reliability and stability of web applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and robust backend services using Django.
- Design and implement efficient RESTful APIs.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) to deploy and manage applications.
- Use containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and cross-functional teams to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
- Implement security and data protection solutions.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Document development phases and monitor systems.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Develop APIs and testing tools, such as Postman.
- Maintain versioning tools, such as Git.
- Develop and maintain databases such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and others for existing web applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Django and Python.
- Experience in building scalable applications.
- Knowledge of server-side templating languages and front-end technologies (like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3) is a plus.
