Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled CAD Technician with a focus on Mechanical design to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in 2D CAD work, particularly using AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT. The primary responsibilities will include the creation and revision of manufacturing part and assembly CAD drawings, ensuring precision and accuracy in the production of parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- 2D CAD Work: Proficient in producing detailed 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT for parts, part drawings, manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Drawing Revision: Regularly review and revise manufacturing part and assembly CAD drawings to meet design specifications and project requirements.
- Template and Block Setting: Skillfully set templates, blocks, ref. blocks, protocols, and standards for part and assembly drawings, ensuring consistency and adherence to company guidelines.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of mechanical principles and a solid engineering background to effectively translate design concepts into accurate CAD drawings.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of CAD drawings to identify and rectify any discrepancies or inaccuracies, ensuring high-quality and error-free documentation.
- 3D Solid Modeling (Advantageous): Experience with 3D Solid Modeling software such as SolidWorks, AutoDesk, Inventor, or similar would be advantageous.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential: Proven experience in 2D CAD work, with a focus on AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.
- Advantageous: Familiarity with 3D Solid Modeling software (SolidWorks, AutoDesk, Inventor, or similar).
- Education: Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must have good English Communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT for 2D CAD work.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in CAD drawings.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
- Adaptable to changing project requirements and deadlines.
