Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team at eZhire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and managing cost rates agreed upon with vendors in a structured database. Additionally, the candidate will construct systems for the accumulation and monitoring of data related to fixed and variable costs, such as rent, insurance, and monthly rental expenses. The Cost Accountant will review costs, compare them with actual charges, and identify inaccuracies. This role also involves projecting profit margins for upcoming quarters, analyzing trends, and providing insights to drive cost-effective improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and organize cost rates agreed with vendors into a structured database.
- Construct systems for the accumulation and monitoring of data related to fixed and variable costs.
- Determine and calculate formulas for fixed and variable costs, including rent, insurance, and monthly rental costs.
- Review costs and compare them with actual charges to detect inaccuracies.
- Project profit margins for upcoming quarters and analyze trends of highs and lows.
- Analyze month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements.
Requirements:
- Part Qualified ACCA/ICMA/CA or MBA from a reputable university.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
