Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HOD – Electrical for a prominent Sugar Mill in Faisalabad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in formulating strategies and plans at the departmental executive level.
• Assist in managing the department’s human, financial, and physical resources, focusing on the development of teaching laboratories.
• Oversee mentoring and career development of academic staff, especially Early Career Researchers (ECRs) and lecturers.
• Help manage academic staff, including workload allocation, staff development, performance reviews, recruitment, and health and safety.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as agreed upon with the Head of the Department.
• Learn or be familiar with the university’s administrative and management systems.
• Maintain a personal record of excellence in research, teaching, and administration, and contribute to the department’s strategic development.
• Exhibit proven management and leadership skills.
• Commit to nurturing talent in teaching, research, and administration.
• Manage multiple administrative tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion.
• Support the Head of the Department, or independently handle conflicts or challenging situations with staff and students promptly, sensitively, and fairly.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in academic excellence, particularly in the field of Electronic & Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in management and leadership within an academic setting.
• Ability to effectively balance and complete various administrative responsibilities.
