Job Description
A Traffic Assistant at the airport is responsible for assisting with the smooth flow of vehicles and passengers in and around the airport premises. They play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of traffic systems, maintaining safety, and providing excellent customer service.
The key responsibilities of a Traffic Assistant – Airport include:
- Monitoring and managing traffic flow in designated areas of the airport, including drop-off zones, parking lots, and pick-up areas.
- Providing directions and guidance to drivers, ensuring they follow traffic rules and regulations.
- Assisting passengers with their luggage, helping them with check-in procedures, and providing information on flight schedules and gate assignments.
- Coordinating with other airport staff, ground personnel, and security teams to ensure a seamless and secure airport experience for all passengers.
- Maintaining accurate records of traffic statistics, reporting any incidents or issues to the relevant authorities.
The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Prior experience in a similar role and knowledge of airport operations and traffic management systems are highly desirable.
