Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Net Metering Specialist. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless processing of net metering cases and timely installation of meters.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify NM files before submission, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Submit files in DISCO by hand as per standard operating procedures (SOP) within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate effectively with DISCO officials to expedite processing of net metering cases.
- Follow up on pending cases with governing bodies (DISCOs and NEPRA) on a daily basis.
- Ensure timely execution of every stage involved in the net metering process, aiming for the shortest possible installation time.
- Identify issues causing delays in NM cases and propose suitable solutions.
- Liaise with customers to provide updates on status and address queries related to net metering.
- Inform net metering management of any changes in file processing SOP of NEPRA or DISCOs.
- Maintain proper documentation and record keeping in both soft and hard copy formats.
- Identify areas for process improvement and suggest improvement plans.
- Coordinate with Planning Dept. of DISCO for file submission and follow-up for site surveys.
- Facilitate the signing of agreements and issuance of necessary documents for meter installation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
- Recommended 3-4 years of relevant experience, though less experience may be considered for exceptional candidates.
- Strong understanding of net metering processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in file preparation and verification.
