Job Description
Position: Import Specialist
Company: Barrick Gold Corporation
Location: Karachi
Qualification: Minimum bachelors, preferably in procurement and/or supply chain management, business administration, or related areas.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience
- Knowledge and relations with customs, import shipping regulations and policies.
- Knowledge of EPZA regulations.
- Computer skills in MS Office, SAP, ARIBA.
- Certification in clearing, forwarding & IATA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate for any incoming shipments and timely arrangement of consignment.
- Review and validation of shipping documents.
- Maintain a database of import shipments.
- Close monitoring and tracking of import consignments.
- Ensure timely delivery of consignments with customs brokers.
- Process customs agent bills and ensure timely payments.
- Coordinate with EPZA and customs representatives at site.
