Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a Solar Electrical Engineer to design, evaluate, and optimize electrical systems for solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting site assessments, collaborating with project teams, developing detailed electrical plans, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Additionally, staying updated on industry trends and regulations, as well as participating in research and development activities to innovate solar energy products and services, are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evaluate electrical systems and components for solar energy projects, including solar panels, inverters, and wiring systems.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solar configurations.
- Work closely with project managers and other engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop detailed electrical plans and specifications for solar energy systems.
- Perform computer simulations and analysis of solar energy systems to optimize performance.
- Ensure all solar electrical designs and installations meet industry standards and compliance regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the solar energy industry.
- Participate in research and development activities to innovate and improve solar energy products and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in designing electrical systems for solar energy projects.
- Strong understanding of solar energy technologies and components.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools.
- Ability to conduct site assessments and recommend optimal solar configurations.
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations.
