Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and applications.
- Networking:
- Work with the IT team to support and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure.
- Assist in monitoring network performance and addressing connectivity issues.
- System Maintenance:
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including software updates and patches.
- Help ensure data security and integrity through regular backups and security measures.
- Create user documentation and guides to facilitate self-help for common issues.
- Project Support:
- Collaborate with IT team members on ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Participate in project planning, execution, and documentation.
- Hardware and Software Procurement:
- Assist in the procurement process for IT hardware and software.
- Keep inventory records up-to-date and assist with asset management.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with team members and end-users.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their technology needs.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field).
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with troubleshooting and providing technical support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and productivity tools.
