Job Description
Position: Site Logistics Specialist
Company: Barrick Gold Corporation
Location: Reko Diq Mine Site – Balochistan
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience as a logistics/transportation specialist in a related industry.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of transportation industry regulations.
- Proficiency in transportation management software.
- Superb leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and shows decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to provide operational support outside of business hours.
- Willingness to travel out-station in case of cargo damage during accidents.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling transportation services and planning routes.
- Planning and managing logistics, transportation, and custom-related matters at the site.
- Optimizing and coordinating full order cycle.
- Liaising and negotiating with various teams at the site.
- Ensuring proper cargo condition and documentation at the site.
- Processing transportation documentation and monitoring drivers’ tracking.
- Developing, implementing, and improving transportation policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with internal departments for optimized transportation services.
- Evaluating driver performance, handling customer queries, and resolving complaints.
- Complying with transportation regulations and company policies.
