Job Description
A Study Start Up Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the initiation phase of clinical trials. They play a crucial role in ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are obtained before the trial can commence. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and preparing all essential study documents, including informed consent forms, protocols, and investigator brochures.
- Obtaining necessary approvals from regulatory authorities, ethics committees, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop project timelines and ensure study milestones are achieved.
- Managing study start-up budgets and tracking expenses.
- Providing support and guidance to study site personnel during the start-up phase.
- Monitoring and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
