Job Description
Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Packaging Development for Beauty & Well Being, including innovations/Renovations, savings & Sustainability projects.
- Drive Sustainability agenda at Corporate level from R&D perspective, emphasizing on “Less, Better, and No plastics” at UPL level.
- Develop and execute an innovation roadmap for Beauty & Well- being for advanced packaging solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Beauty & Well being Business Group teams to drive cutting-edge packaging initiatives.
- Proactively track and monitor Pakistan’s Plastic Footprint, aligning actions with Unilever’s Global Strategy.
- Lead digital R&D initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency & drive simplification.
- Work closely with corporate Sustainability, external communications, legal, and regulatory teams to stay abreast of industry regulations and proposed recommendations.
- Foster the growth of Packaging resources through targeted training and capability-building initiatives for cross-category development technologists.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering and/or relevant experience in the Packaging Development domain.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar strategic role.
Professional Skills
- Expertise in Packaging Development and Plastic Sustainability.
- Exceptional communication skills for impactful internal and external engagement.
- Proficiency in digital and analytics tools.
- Financial acumen for developing compelling business cases and reporting.
- Strong project management skills.
