Job Description

Grade: This is a grade 3 position.

Location: This role is based in Karachi, Pakistan. (Hybrid)

Your Impactful Goals will include:

  • Develop the overall Channel strategy for GSM products, FS products, Distribution, Trade Marketing and Performance Management
  • Represent the S&D strategy in products and all deployments including Digital ambitions
  • To develop plans for channel expansion & development, maximize efficiency in the channel and grow business volume
  • To ensure the channel profitability, ROI & ensure to implement the business KPIs to the channel
  • Identify the right size of channel & Investment
  • Owner of Governance Models and Product & Distribution initiatives
  • Planning/designing of campaigns to get desired business uptake
  • Build Competition & Channel Insights and coordinate with relevant team to address critical issues
  • Vendor management and liaison with other departments
  • Performance Management of Circle and Regions
  • Create Digital Reporting Environment with Operational Efficiency
  • Develop performance metrics based on Business, Distribution and relevant technical KPI’s
  • Circle/Region engagement program and Internal and External Stake Holder Management
  • Support Regional team by giving more Business insight
  • Monitoring of growth at regional & franchise level on month to month and year to year basis.
  • Cluster level/Site level/Retail level reporting and analysis
  • Working in team towards driving channel execution in line with the organizational goals

Your Typical day at work

  • Manage & Support/develop team members working on their respective streams to ensure effective implementation of reporting, analysis and policies in the context of sales & distribution of Telenor product and services.
  • Coordination and interaction with stakeholders including Regional Sales Team, Planning team, Marketing, FS, Internet, S&D Planning, Legal, Corporate, OSS, Security 
  • Working closely with all the stakeholders for roadmap discussions and planning for product, distribution and TM activities
  • Perform in-depth study and build strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators and make different analysis across different channels.
  • Special project planning and executions & ensure to provide the visibility/support to the region/planning units.
  • Ensure data quality check, numbers validation, data Archiving.
  • Plan to achieve the targets for all Sales KPI at regional level.
  • Design and execute Regional Promos & campaigns.
  • Initiate projects on declining areas and conduct end to end research on these markets and drive actions to get growth.
  • Conduct market research and derive actionable finding for sales team.
  • Building and keeping track of Product Roadmap and Go-to-Market plans
  • Evaluate expected challenges/risks and come up with mitigation strategy
  • TM budget planning, discussion with planning for governance model implementation
  • Vendor management, BDO/DSO Planning and implementation
  • QOS analysis with respect to M3 & future actions based on the outcome of analysis
  • Providing performance business insights to stake holders which help them to take better business decisions
  • Identifying strengths and weaknesses of the Products and competition analysis
  • Special project planning and executions.
  • Identifying strengths and weaknesses of the channels
  • Franchise Structure & resource planning and ensuring CSAT

What we are looking for?

Education:  Preferably MBA/MIS/MCS

Work experience: 8 – 9 years relevant experience required

Potential Career Path:

Possible to branch out into other functions within commercial, Segments & Products, Marketing and Corporate Strategy functions.

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas

  • Ability to work well in a pressure situation, Self-motivated and flexible
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal & written)
  • Hands-on infield experience of sales and distribution
  • Someone who is passionate about understanding customers (internal & external), knowing their needs and expectations and working towards exceeding them
  • A dynamic personality with the ability and passion to complete tasks in a short period of time, particularly when there are timely limitations and challenging resources.
  • Good team Leader and excellent at building relationships with co-workers and external vendors
  • Organized and can manage several projects and/or activities at a time.
  • Someone who is willing to take initiative, to listen, to learn and able to respond positively to challenges and criticism
  • Someone who is strong at developing and managing products and deliverables as expected in any marketing organization.
  • Someone have proven experience as functional architect, project manager or sub-project manager roles
  • Geographical and demographical know how
