Job Description
- Monitoring and Control:
- Operate and monitor the DCS to manage and control plant processes.
- Ensure all processes are running within specified parameters.
- Adjust controls to regulate flow rates, temperature, pressure, and other process variables.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve alarms and process upsets.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to address equipment malfunctions and process disruptions.
- Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance tasks on the DCS.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Participate in safety drills and emergency response activities.
- Report and document any safety incidents or near-misses.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Record and analyze process data to optimize performance.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant operations.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training manuals.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with field operators, engineers, and management.
- Coordinate with other departments for efficient plant operations.
- Provide training and guidance to junior operators and new hires.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the petrochemical or refining industry.
