About the role:
We are looking for a pivotal next hire – a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager – People and Culture to drive our People & Culture initiatives and be responsible for all people-related matters.
This person will be the maestro orchestrating the harmony of our incredible talent. Reporting to the COO, they will not just manage HR – they will be flag bearers of our values, architects of our culture, drivers of innovation, and the catalysts for our unstoppable growth.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded People leader, with a proven track record of success in leading the HR function within high-growth businesses with international exposure, development and execution of People strategy, and constantly delivering against ambitious OKRs. They will have a strong background in building and managing exceptional teams and will be excited by the opportunity to support and accelerate the growth of Get Licensed. They will have great EQ, be a strong believer in collaboration and execution, and be able to be both strategic and detail-oriented. This role requires a credible and influential self-starter who is ready to get their hands dirty working all aspects of HR and be the first point of contact for all people-related issues.

Some responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic direction for the People function – aligning people initiatives with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Overseeing all employee relations – fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, by addressing and resolving all employee-level issues with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Managing end-to-end talent acquisition, development, and retention programs. Someone who knows how to identify and attract the best talent out there, and once they’re in, make sure they never want to leave.
- Pioneering new approaches to people operations – We need someone who can bring fresh ideas to the table – someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace. Experience developing and implementing initiatives that foster an inclusive environment for all team members.
- Managing all compliance requirements and adherence to location and international laws and regulations.
- Managing a team of highly-motivated and young HR professionals, leading multiple aspects of the people function – putting the team first, managing not only their routine activities, but also their growth within the organisation.
- Taking full ownership of the performance management cycle – effectively managing our people enablement tools to drive employee engagement and accountability.
- Being an owner of our organization’s compensation and benefits initiatives; staying abreast of changing market trends to tailor offerings to attract and retain top talent.
- Being a champion of growing our talent pool and helping create the optimum organisation structure as the business rapidly scales.
“Must haves” for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 08 years of progressive HR/people experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Entrepreneurial and curious, abreast of the latest HR news, legal aspects and thinking
- International experience
- Driven, hardworking, and motivated self-starter who can work independently with little structure
- Ability to influence and partner with all levels of leadership to drive continuous improvement and organizational change
- Ability to effectively build high-performance teams with a passion for developing and mentoring people and the ability to inspire teams
- Good problem-solver and methodical creative thinker
- Flexible, able to embrace change, good at multitasking, meet deadlines
- Take ownership and responsibility for issues
- Positive attitude, straight-talking, great interpersonal skills, and a high level of empathy
- Experience in designing and driving people and culture strategies, organizational design, and scaling teams at pace
