Job Description
Bachaa Party is looking to hire a skilled and experienced candidate for the position of Category Planning Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic planning processes to support business objectives in the retail industry.
- Lead the planning team in developing comprehensive plans for merchandise, inventory, and sales forecasting.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks for the retail business.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of planning initiatives, making adjustments as needed to optimize results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support planning activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the planning team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies related to retail planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in planning roles within the retail industry, with managerial capacity expertise.
- Prior planning experience in segments like Infant Accessories, Toys, Jewelry, Stationary, Party Supplies & Grocery.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Oracle, AX Dynamics, MS Excel.
